Pending, closed listings decline again in Houston

The Houston Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS.

Both pending and closed home sales decreased annually in Houston during the week ended Sept. 28, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Pending listings dropped 23.7% year over year, with 1,613 homes going under contract, down from 2,113 during the same week a year ago.

At the same time, closings fell 21%, with 1,422 sales during the week, down from 1,801 a year prior.

New listings slightly exceeded 2025 volumes, however, as 3,540 sellers added properties to the market, up just 0.5% year over year.
