Development has begun for Sunterra Lakes, the ninth Houston-area master-planned community (MPC) from Starwood Land.

Located minutes from Starwood’s top-selling MPC Sunterra, Sunterra Lakes will include approximately 4,000 homes with pricing ranging from the $300,000s to over $600,000.

“We’re excited to add another great master-planned community to the already successful Starwood Land portfolio in the greater Houston area,” Chief Operating Officer John Brian said in a press release. “With a convenient location just north of I-10 in the growing Katy corridor combined with an excellent lineup of builders and world class amenities, we expect Sunterra Lakes to be a very successful project.”

Home sales will begin after builders receive lots this summer. Builders in Phase 1 of development include Ashton Woods Homes, Colina Homes, Century Communities, D.R. Horton and Lennar.

Sunterra Lakes is zoned to Royal Independent School District. Plans for the community include a future onsite elementary school.
