Johnson Development named eight homebuilders for more than 300 homesites at The George, a new 1,500-acre master-planned community off FM 2977 at Koeblen Road in Fort Bend County.

Chesmar Homes and Newmark Homes will build on 40-foot lots, Perry Homes and Empire Homes will build on 45-foot lots, David Weekley Homes and Westin Homes will build on 50-foot lots, and Highland Homes and J. Patrick Homes will build on 60-foot lots.

“We’re thrilled to unveil this outstanding lineup of builders,” Derek Goff, vice president and general manager of The George, said in a press release. “Each brings a proven track record of excellence in home design, quality of construction and customer service, and have long-standing relationships with Johnson Development.”

Lots will be delivered to builders early next year, with model homes set to debut in spring.
