Michelle Hinton has all the accolades that characterize a real estate success: she is a repeat Who’s Who selection; was nominated as a 2016 Five Star Professional; she’s a perennial top producer; and she has plenty of designations, including Master Certified Negotiations Expert and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. But when you ask about her biggest accomplishments, she doesn’t pay those accomplishments much lip service. Instead, she talks about her reviews on sites such as HAR, Yelp and Zillow. She prefers recognition from the people she helps.
Hinton primarily works with luxury and relocation clients, and says that her own relocation experience has been invaluable in helping her connect with clients and better understand their needs. Hinton knows that making a move can be a stressful situation. It’s one of the reasons her approach to real estate is completely client focused. She listens to them – learns their story, who they are, what they’re looking for – and then gives them the tools and options to make an educated decision. “It’s all about constant communication,” Hinton says. “The client should always know exactly where things are, and understand what that means.”
An area in which Hinton takes special pride is her ability to market and sell properties. “I’ve had numerous people tell me that they recognize my listings as they are always nicely staged, beautifully photographed and well marketed,” she says. “I team up with other top industry professionals such as talented photographers and stagers to best showcase my listings.” Hinton says that proper preparation and presentation of a property is crucial to getting it sold quickly and at a good price, so she makes the extra effort to ensure everything is perfect. She even spoke on a mastermind panel this past June about listing strategies and how to get properties sold in today’s market.
Giving back to the community is extremely important to Hinton. A portion of every single one of her commissions goes to Give Back Homes, which helps Habitat for Humanity build homes in Houston.
