When Lady Nico Bell turned 53, she marked the occasion with a family celebration that included loved ones ranging from age 30 to age 80. The day stood out not just for the milestone, but also for its symbolization of a life where personal joy and professional purpose continue to grow side by side.
“Your only limitations,” she declares, “are those you refuse to break.”
That belief shaped Bell’s path from the start. She began her career in the U. S. Air Force, where she developed the command that still guides her work today. After her military service, she entered the lending industry with a mission to help families, particularly those in underserved communities, build wealth through homeownership. “After witnessing the disparities in access to financing in minority communities,” she shares, “I knew I had a responsibility to bridge that gap.”
With more than two decades of experience, Bell serves as a Producing Partnership Branch Manager at Rate, where she leads her own branch within the Chris Kelso Region. “I combine my military discipline, financial expertise and heart for service to provide a concierge-style lending experience,” she says.
Bell mentors women entering the industry, volunteers time with veteran housing programs and leads financial literacy workshops for first-time homebuyers. She’s also an active member of the Houston Black Real Estate Association, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the Women’s Council of NAREB, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, the Texas Association of Real Estate Brokers and Homes for Heroes.
Away from the office, Bell enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her adult children and grandchildren, and staying grounded through prayer, reflection and wellness. Her personal brand, “No Limits,” reflects the mindset she brings to every part of her life.
