Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene commemorated its 50th anniversary and were honored with an eponymous day in the process.
According to a recent article by the Houston Chronicle, the real estate group, which started in 1963 and now is comprised of 21 offices, celebrated the milestone with an Aug. 9 gathering at the Westin Memorial City. Owners Marilyn Eiland and Mark Woodroof greeted the crowd of about 350 industry professionals and friends, the report said. A highlight of the event, was when Mayor Annise Parker announced through a video that Aug. 9, 2013 is Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene Day.
According to Houston’s website, proclamations are given for, among other things, “significant anniversaries” of local corporations and people who have left a positive impact on society.
