The Texas Realtors Leadership Program (TRLP), is pleased to announce its Legacy Project, which will consist of educating high school students to become financially literate and responsible.

They will provide high schools with the Dave Ramsey Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum through an “Adopt a School” program. Local businesses will sponsor one or more area high schools by funding the purchase of the Foundations of Personal Finance curriculum. Once the program is in place, these sponsors will support ongoing scholarship opportunities for those students completing the course.

“After the economic downturn of the last five years, we feel it is our duty to pass on the lessons learned to future generations, hoping that they will learn from our mistakes and to be equipped to make wise, personal financial decisions,” said Chance Brown, TRLP 2013 Legacy Program director, to the Cypress Creek Mirror.

For details on how to get involved with the Legacy Project, visit the TRLP website for further updates.
