Houston Business Journal Lists Top Homebuilders By Local Gross Revenue

The Houston Business Journal recently published a list ranking the top homebuilders according to the gross revenue they generated in Houston during the last year. Miami-based Lennar Homes/Village Builders ranked number one, totaling $472.1 million.

A recent report published on the Houston Business Journal’s website named the five homebuilders that have generated the most revenue in Houston this year.

The top five are as follows: Miami-based Lennar Homes/Village Builders, $472.1 million; Houston-based McGuyer Homebuilders Inc., $430 million; Perry Homes, $418 million; Red Bank, N.J.-based K. Hovnanian Family of Builders, $244.8 million; and Dallas-based Highland Homes Houston, $232 million.

According to the report, Lennar Homes/Village Builders increased its revenue by $100 million from last year. Likewise, K. Hovnanian Family of Builders generated $40 million more in revenue this year. Houston-based David Weekley Homes nearly ranked number five, totaling $230.5 million in gross revenue.

The full list, called “Largest Houston-Area Homebuilders”, was published in the Houston Business Journal’s Oct. 4 print edition and can be viewed online by subscribers.
