The Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) recently held its annual PRISM Awards, which recognizes the area’s best builders and developers. Bridgeland, an 11,400-acre development in Cypress, was awarded “Master Planned Development of the Year”. It’s the second time the community has received the honor from the GHBA since it opened in 2006.

“It is quite an honor to again be titled ‘Master Planned Development of the Year’ for our efforts to provide homeowners with a community that is recognized for its harmonic blend of nature, outstanding amenities and homesites,” Bridgeland Vice President Peter Houghton said in a recent press release.

In its seven years of existence, Bridgeport has also received accolades from the National Association of Homebuilders and the Texas Association of Homebuilders.

Bridgeport is the biggest housing community in West Houston, according to the press release. The development thrives off of its ability to offer the best of nature while retaining space for neighborhood necessities. Residents enjoy more than 3,000 acres of lakes, parks and trails, yet still have access to schools, churches and recreation sites throughout the community.
