Ravenna Homes closed on its first home and has six more new construction homes under contract in the Firethrone master-planned residential community.

Houston-based Ravenna Homes closed on its first home and has six more new construction homes under contract in Firethorne, a 1,400-acre master-planned residential community in Katy/Fulshear, west of Houston.  Five of the six homes also will close this month.

Ravenna Homes was founded earlier this spring by brothers Stephen Najvar, president, and Kenneth Najvar, vice president (both were formerly Division Presidents of Perry Homes). The company has 13 homes under construction in Firethorne and seven more starting this month.

“With nearly 20 years homebuilding experience, including five years in Firethorne, we have a strong sense of what homebuyers here want,” Stephen Najvar said.

New Homeowners Pleased With Ravenna

Ravenna Homes’ first-ever homeowners are Stephanie and David Casso, whose promotion with USAA Wealth Management spurred their relocation from San Antonio.

“Stephanie loves the house, especially its large kitchen and the custom feel of the cabinets, and the coffered 12- to 14-foot ceilings, plus the neighborhood amenities – lots of green space, hike and bike trails, swimming pools, children’s parks and sports fields. There’s a good sense of community here,” David Casso said.

The Cassos appreciate the spaciousness and attention to detail in the design and workmanship of their four-bedroom, three-bath home with a full-size three-car garage.

“I found the house online and loved the three-car garage,” said David Casso, who needed ample space for his 19-foot bass fishing boat and trailer. “However, the fact that Ravenna Homes is a family-owned business and the owners are so involved is what really sold us,” he added.

The Najvar brothers said the feelings are mutual.  “It was a pleasure meeting and working with the Cassos on their first Ravenna home.  We are certainly honored and blessed for them to have chosen us as their preferred home builder,” Kenneth Najvar said.

“At the end of the day, it’s a great feeling knowing that you are doing what you feel you are called to do, and that you’re helping make other people’s lives a little better,” Stephen Najvar added.
