Tomball’s Willowcreek Ranch is Adding More Homes

by Tracey Fuller

The developers of Willowcreek Ranch in Tomball are rolling out their second-phase of inventory six months earlier than expected because of the high demand for homes in that area, the Houston Chronicle reports.

This new surge in homes comes at a crucial time as inventory numbers have been decreasing in Houston, as we previously reported. Houston’s inventory in January was down 18.5 percent from January 2013.

Phase I homes released in November 2013 have already sold, with the first homes in the community along Texas 249, and a future expansion of the Grand Parkway will be completed by fall 2014. Phase II lots will be available for sale because of the high demand, with private tours of the homes already available to the public, and the grand opening for those homes will be in May.

With lots ranging from one to seven acres, Willowcreek Ranch asking prices for homes start at $600,000 and rise into the millions. The property also includes a 40-acre lake, an equestrian center and seven miles of hiking and riding trails.

The anticipation of Exxon Mobil’s new campus, which will soon bring a massive expansion of residential and commercial properties, has influenced the rising demand of homes in the Tomball community.
