Has Housing Inventory in Houston Finally Bottomed?

Did our area’s long-term housing inventory trends continue last month?

Falling housing inventory in Houston has been the name of the game for quite some time now, but new analysis from Movoto may suggest light at the end of the tunnel.

Don’t get us wrong – Houston’s housing inventory still dropped more than 7 percent year-over-year in April – but that’s a relatively positive drop compared to March’s 17 percent drop. Does that mean that housing inventory has finally turned the corner in Houston? We’ll have to wait and see, but April’s number is encouraging.
