Sims Luxury Builders launches Laguna project in Sugar Land

Sims Luxury Builders is currently building a new lakefront townhouse community in Sugar Land. The developer will Houston - SimsLuxbe constructing nine luxury townhouses on a one-acre plot in the Lake Pointe neighborhood within First Colony (a community southwest of Houston). The gated development is being called Laguna. It is located along Brooks Lake, a short distance to a Whole Foods Market, Sugar Land Town Square and First Colony Mall near U.S. 59 and Highway 6.

The Laguna townhouses will be designed by Robert Dame Designs with brick and stucco exteriors and wood, glass and steel interiors. The townhouses (which range in size from 3,005 to 3,872 square feet) will feature Bosch appliances, Madeval cabinets, marble fireplaces, pivot front doors, open floor plans, high ceilings, glass and steel handrails and wide-plank white oak floors. A few of the townhouses will be designed to sit on the waterfront and have casitas, private courtyards with optional pools, several large balconies and elevators. Home prices start at $700,000.

Construction on Laguna is expected to be complete in the first half of 2016. Pre-sales for the project have just begun. Laguna will be the first townhouse development by Sims Luxury Builders. They are also planning two condominium projects inside or near the 610 Loop: Riva at the Park (near Buffalo Bayou Park) and Aurora in Uptown.

“(Laguna) was simply a great piece of land to develop and the last available waterfront site in Lake Pointe,” said Christopher Sims in an emailed statement. “Our luxury home business is still flourishing, but this was a great opportunity … to offer another array of options to the burgeoning population base in Sugar Land.”
