In October, there were more $1 million-plus home sales in Galleria-Uptown than any other neighborhood in Houston, according to our latest REAL DATA report.

A dozen sales with an average closing price of $2.18 million made Galleria-Uptown the city’s most active luxury markets last month, but close behind was Greater Heights, where 10 luxury sales were closed at an average of $1.28 million.

Houston’s luxury market has struggled in 2016, with prices and sales slipping. But as our below table illustrates, some markets are retaining, at least in part, their luxury appeal.

Neighborhood $1M+ Sales Average Sale Price
Galleria-uptown 12 $2,180,638.83
Greater Heights 10 $1,289,800
Unspecified 9 $2,151,853.22
West University 6 $1,175,833.00
West Houston 4 $1,414,367
River Oaks 4 $1,516,625
Rice Military 3 $1,358,022
Montrose 2 $1,492,065
Spring Branch 1 $1,030,000
