New listings rise after two straight weeks of decline

New listings rose annually in Houston during the week ended Sept. 25, according to the Houston Association of REALTORS® latest Weekly Activity Snapshot.

Realtors entered 2,868 properties into the Multiple Listing Service, a 4.7% increase year over year. New listings declined during the two weeks prior.

Pending listings, however, fell by 11.5% during the week, with 1,833 listings going under contract. Closings were also down by 8.1% year over year.

Consumer interest rose over 2022 volumes yet again. Showings increased by 5.9% year over year, with over 33,900 property showings during the week. Listings on HAR.com also rose by 11.9%.
