An additional 185 homes in the Jubilee master-planned community in Hockley received the WELL Residence certification from the International Well Building Institute. The homes represent the second set of Jubilee residences to receive the certification.
Together, Jubilee’s homes are the first in Texas to earn the distinction.
“We’re always excited about these certifications because they provide third-party recognition that we are actually building a community that truly prioritizes wellness and isn’t simply a marketing pitch,” Jubilee Development Manager Nick Deacon said in a press release. “Having the respected independent IWBI validate our efforts makes the achievement that much more meaningful.”
Ultimately, Jubilee developer Johnson Development hopes to have all homes within the community certified by IWBI. Another 215 have already been submitted for consideration.
Johnson Development was among 25 early adopters of IWBI’s WELL residential program, which includes over 100 health strategies for new homes. This latest batch of Jubilee homes met a minimum of 45 criteria.
All homes within the community feature a reverse-osmosis filtration system, fresh air intake, MERV 13 media filter, circadian rhythm lighting and centralized smart-home automation, among other wellness-related systems and finishes.
Jubilee builders include Beazer Homes, Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, J. Patrick Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Tri Pointe Homes and Westin Homes. Pricing starts in the $290,000s and extends to the millions.
“Your home — your community — should be your sanctuary,” Deacon added. “Jubilee is designed to be just that, a place where you can rejuvenate, relax and take comfort.”
Across the globe, 4,470 homes have earned IWBI’s WELL Residence certification.
