A new amenity center will join the Shea Homes community of Evergreen in Conroe.

Shea Homes, the developer, and Millis Construction, the builder, broke ground on The Arbor on Dec. 20. Plans for the first phase of construction on the 8.7-acre plot include a resort-style pool, splash pad, recreation center, lounge areas and a playground. Phase two includes pickleball courts.

The Arbor is expected to be completed in the fall of next year.
