First America Homes broke ground on a home for the Greater Houston Builders Association’s (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project. The homesite is located in Bluestem, a Brookshire master-planned community from The Signorelli Company.
The builder will construct the Mansfield layout from its Heritage Collection: a five-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home featuring a covered patio and an outdoor kitchen.
The home is projected to be listed for $368,591. Proceeds from the home sale will go toward HomeAid Houston, a charity that provides transitional shelter for people at risk of homelessness, and Operation Finally Home, an organization that provides housing to wounded military veterans and first responders.
“It takes a tremendous amount of effort, resources and collaboration to bring a project like this to life,” Scott Merovitch, chairman of Benefit Homes Project, said in a press release. “We are excited to celebrate two incredible local charities, HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.”
“We’ve had the privilege to work directly with HomeAid Houston on several charity projects that have impacted our local community,” said Dave Barnhart, president of First America Homes. “The Benefit Homes Project is another great opportunity for our team to come together and broaden the scope of impact on even more lives right here in Houston.”
