The Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) partnered with real-time information provider FOREWARN in an effort to promote proactive safety among real estate agents.

Accessible both online and via mobile app, FOREWARN allows agents to search for identity verification, criminal histories and information verification of potential clients, all from a phone number. These services will be integrated with HAR’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS) at no additional cost to users.

“As an industry leader in technology and subscriber value, we pride ourselves in providing the very best solutions,” said Mario Arriaga, chair of the HAR MLS, in a press release. “So many risks related to safety and fraud can be mitigated when an agent is able to verify their prospect quickly and easily from the start using FOREWARN.”

“FOREWARN is a powerful tool that will give agents an added layer of safety when interacting with prospective clients,” added HAR Chair Cathy Treviño. “We believe in empowering Realtors with the tools they need to thrive in today’s dynamic market while prioritizing their safety, and that is why we are providing this tool as a subscriber benefit at no cost.”

Existing HAR members will receive instructions on how to activate their FOREWARN subscriptions.
