Hillwood Communities broke ground on Legacy, a master-planned community located in League City, on March 6. Over 60 people were in attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony, including leadership from Hillwood, League City officials, Realtors and builder representatives.
“At a prime location in Galveston County, there’s unparalleled access to highly rated public schools, outdoor recreation and exceptional shopping and dining,” Russell Bynum, general manager of Hillwood Communities in Houston, said in a press release. “We invite families to build their own traditions, embrace their heritage and craft their own legacies.”
The first phase of construction will include over 500 homes with amenities connected via 60 acres of waterways. Full buildout, projected to be completed within the next decade, will include over 1,600 homesites, an elementary school and a recreation center. In addition, 100 acres of the 805-acre community will be dedicated to League City for a regional park.
Initial deliveries are expected in the first quarter of 2025, with homes ranging from $300,000 to over $1 million.
