New listings in Houston during the week ended Oct. 21 jumped 21.7% on an annual basis, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Agents added 3,197 properties to the MLS, up from 2,626 properties during the same week in 2023. Pending listings, or houses that went under contract, rose 7.4% to 1,899 from 1,768.

Closed home sales slid 5.4% year over year to 1,424 from 1,506 a year earlier.

Listing views on HAR.com climbed 10% to 8,881,878, while showings were up 4.2%, at 32,583.
