New listings continue to trend above 2024 volumes

by Emily Marek

New listings in Houston rose 25.8%, surpassing year-ago levels, during the week ended March 10.

Realtors added more than 1,000 additional properties to the market than they did during the same week in 2024, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Closings surpassed 2024 volumes as well, with 1,570 homes sold, up 0.8% year over year.

Both pending listings and property showings decreased during the week, however. Pending listings fell 3.8% year over year, with 2,266 homes going under contract, while traffic at property showings decreased 2% year over year.

Listings on HAR.com, meanwhile, surpassed 15.6 million views, a 75.9% annual increase.
