The number of Houston mansions sold increased by 34 percent
When people say Houston’s real estate market is “big,” they mean it literally.
The Houston Association of Realtors revealed that 452 Houston mansions sold for $1 million or more from January to April of this year. This is up 34 percent from the 337 Houston mansions that sold last year during the same time.
“Some of the wealthiest people in the country call Houston home and their homes can reflect their fortune,” Ed Neuhaus of the Neuhaus Realty Group wrote on his blog.
He has a point. Culture Map Houston mentions that former NBA player and coach, Avery Johnson, recently put his seven bedroom home in The Woodlands on the market for $8.9 million.
