Top Houston Realtor team David Young and Carol Peyton Young has left Coldwell Banker United Realtors and launched David Young & Co.

The husband-and-wife duo have a combined 55 years of experience in residential real estate. After eight years with Coldwell, David Young stated that he is ready for a change and strike out on his own for the first time.

“I’ve been working on this for two years,” Young said. “I am extremely excited about it. I think that there’s a lot of good things to come.”

David and Carol Peyton Young said they decided to leave the national real estate company because their business outgrew the franchise model. They have made the Houston Business Journal‘s list of top-producing real estate teams for several years.

David Young & Co. plans on focusing its attentions on marketing luxury properties in the Villages, Energy Corridor and Katy. Carol said that technology will play a big role in the business’ approach.

 “After Dave and I got married, we took some time to really analyze the industry,” she said. “The industry has really shifted. The Internet leveled the playing field and made data very transparent. We knew we needed a new model that is based on the digital experience.
