Despite a slowdown in single-family construction activity, newly built homes are becoming increasingly accessible to American buyers, in terms of both availability and affordability. According to data from the New-Construction Insights report released by Realtor.com, in the second quarter

Three builders will build 308 homes in the first phase of development: Drees Custom Homes, Perry Homes and Westin Homes.

After years of fast-paced home sales, tight inventory and relentless price growth, the U.S. housing market may finally be entering a new chapter.

The building features 209 apartments, 2,900 square feet of retail space and amenities including a fitness center, lounge, dog run and outdoor pool with cold plunge and hot tub.

Cyrene Homes, Smith Douglas Homes and Tricoast Homes are currently building 117 homes for the community’s first phase of development.

The community will include homes from both LGI and Terrata Homes, plus a slate of amenities like a pool, splash pad, dog park and walking trails.

Pricing begins at $300,000.

Located north of Houston, The Estates of Texas Grand Ranch is surrounded by Sam Houston National Forest and State Park.

Chesmar Homes and David Weekley Homes are also expected to begin sales in the near future.

Driven primarily by the construction boom during the pandemic, the housing market has seen some improvements in affordability, but homes remain out of reach for many would-be buyers.

David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, Newmark Homes and Westin Homes all have one model open; Perry Homes has two.

Planned community amenities include a hub with a shaded pavilion, and open space for events.

At Canterra Creek, the builder will offer three- and four-bedroom homes with one- and two-story designs. Pricing starts at $290,000.

Approximately 20,000 people live in the community across almost 6,100 homes built by Highland Homes, Perry Homes, Taylor Morrison and Tri Pointe Homes.

Only two residences are left for sale.

Tricoast Homes unveiled a model home and open sales at La Segarra, a master-planned community in Pattison.
