Sandy Petermann-Williams

Realtor
RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring

Realtor Sandy Petermann-Williams possesses the kind of Southern charm that makes her a lodestone for the city’s homebuyers and sellers, but it is her unique ability to blend Texan hospitality, savvy negotiation skills and genuine compassion that resonates with clients. Their words of high praise like “all-round expert,” “trusted advisor” and “the agent to call” make clear that she puts all of those attributes into practice to help clients fulfill their real estate goals. “I truly like helping people, and my career provides me the opportunity to help them make the best-educated decision they possibly can when it comes to their home.”

A Louisiana native, Petermann-Williams worked in a variety of roles for a wholesale petroleum distributor for 16 years before relocating to The Woodlands. That experience, she says, “prepared me the most for my real estate career” because it strengthened her attention to detail, and taught her the importance of managing people’s expectations and clear accurate communication. It was the agent who sold her home in The Woodlands who first suggested that she consider a career in the industry, which led to a short stint as an unlicensed assistant. Petermann-Williams began as a buyer’s agent after earning her license, working with the team of Dean and Brandi Melton, whom she credits for their knowledge and encouragement to become a full-time agent. “I haven’t once regretted venturing out on my own to represent both buyers and sellers,” she says.

Now after nearly a decade in the business, Petermann-Williams draws on the experience she has gained through buying and selling property for both clients and herself. Her professional and people skills have yielded a 98% referral-based business. “I strive to build lasting relationships, and my clients think of me when they hear about someone who wants to buy or sell,” she explains. Her strategy for buyers includes asking them to complete a questionnaire so that she can better understand their wants, needs and preferences while she stresses to sellers that “from the front curb to the rear fence, presentation is key!” Her approach has clearly paid off as she ranked among the Top 20 RE/MAX individual agents in Texas in 2014 and has boasted membership in the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, Chairman’s Club and Platinum Club. In addition, she has earned the Five Star Professional award for each of the last of five years.

An active Junior League of The Woodlands volunteer, Petermann-Williams points out that providing the highest level of personal service, market insight and professional integrity have always been her top priorities. That is why, for example, previous clients never fail to mention what some might call the little things, like her willingness to meet contractors at their home, pick up clients’ mail before they move in and encourage teenagers to share their opinions about where their family should live. “As far as I’m concerned,” she says, “the true measures of my success are the trust and connection I create with my clients. These relationships are both my business and my joy!”
