Cindy Hamann is the VP/branch manager for Coldwell Banker United, Realtors in The Woodlands.

What was your first job in the realty industry?
My first job in real estate was working foreclosures for various banks in Houston.

Where did you grow up?
I am a native Houstonian, but I would say I grew up in Tomball, Texas.

What is your favorite free-time activity?
My favorite free time activity would be helping those less fortunate. I love to volunteer my time helping others.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
When I’m stressed, I like to have some “me” time – perhaps a massage, a long drive with great music or a walk.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
When I was growing up, being a Realtor was the last thing I thought I would be. I wanted to be a physical therapist.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be?
I would love to have lunch with the Warren Buffett. I would love to have a conversation about how he got started in the business world and what investment advice he would give.

Where is your favorite place to hang out?
I love to hang out anywhere my family and friends are.

What do you love most about the industry?
What I love is the passion I feel in my job. I love to help new agents learn to do real estate the right way. To build their careers and see their accomplishments.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I wouldn’t; I would fit right in.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Definitely recognizing that it’s just not a career for all agents. Hardest part is letting an agent go, when you know that they have spent a lot of money to get in the business and they just aren’t going to make it.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
All of my networking is on social media, real estate schools and by referrals.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Beside my three children, taking a non-profitable office to No. 1 in our company for the last nine years in profit.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
“Good to Great” by Jim Collins. Love that book!!!

What is your favorite restaurant?
Don Jose Mexican on Pinemont and Antoine.

What is your favorite building in Houston?
Reliant Center – LOL – I’m a big sports fan.

What kind of car do you drive?
GMC Denali.

Smartphone, or paper?
Smartphone.

What is your favorite city after Houston?
San Francisco.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Pick the right company that has training and support.

What is your favorite iPhone/Android app?
HAR.com

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter?
Too many to name.
