Blanca Smith is a Realtor with Robyn Jones Homes in the Katy/Richmond area.
What was your first job in the realty industry?
I started my real estate career in the title business over ten years ago and have also worked in all aspects of real estate including title, mortgage and as a broker.
Where did you grow up?
In my early childhood I lived in Mexico City, Mexico. When I was seven I came to the U.S. and grew up in old town Katy, Texas, and have been here ever since!
What is your favorite free-time activity?
I enjoy spending my time with my family and children. I also love donating my time to the local charities. And, I love traveling and have a lot of goals and places I want to visit.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
For a long time when I was young, I wanted to be a cosmetologist. I have also always just wanted to help people.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would love to sit down with Ronald Reagan. I really love his beliefs and the things that he stood for. He was such a great leader and helped so many people everywhere. He didn’t always do what was popular, but he did what was best for the people.
Where is your favorite place to hang out?
I love Starbucks and LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. If I am not out selling real estate or with my family, that is where you will find me.
What do you love most about the industry?
Helping people and getting to know new people. I love the challenges and the learning experience of real estate.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I always try new and different ways of marketing myself and helping people to differentiate me from the crowd of agents out there. I place my entire focus on helping people, period!
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
There are never enough hours in a day. It is hard to finish the day when I feel I want to help even more people and there is only so much time.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
Everywhere. I am always talking to people, whether I am at the grocery store, doctors office, or a restaurant. I am always talking and trying to help people.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
My kids and my real estate license.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
I love “The Last of the Mohicans” and saw it again a few days ago. I also love books about real estate and self development. “Eat that Frog” is great.
What is your favorite restaurant?
I love Dekker’s Mesquite Grill in Fulshear.
What kind of car do you drive?
I have a PT Cruiser convertable with pink license plates. When you see it you will think Realtor.

Smartphone and laptop for almost everything.
What is your favorite city after Houston?
Kerrville.

Focus everything on helping people and you will be successful.
