The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), together with the city of Houston, recently released a new mobile app to help people on the move find their new residence.

Mayor Annise Parker said the app, called Houston Living, is needed to accommodate the large number of people looking to relocate to Houston.

“More people are moving to Houston than any other city in the nation. They need quick and easy access to real estate resources as well as general information about the city,” Parker said in a news release, according to the Houston Chronicle. “This app meets the needs of our new residents while being equally valuable to those who’ve called Houston home for some time.”

Houston Living allows users to search a preferred property and locate nearby parks, police stations, libraries, schools and public transit. The app also enables users to search for deals and browse properties by lifestyle. If necessary, the app can easily connect an uncertain user with a knowledgeable Realtor.

Though it’s currently available only for Apple devices, the app is Android compatible.
