ASGi Homes breaks ground on benefit home for GHBA project

by Emily Marek

ASGi Homes has broken ground on a home for the Greater Houston Builders Association’s Benefit Homes Project. The home — expected to sell for about $400,000 — is in Williams Reserve East, a community by Ellison Development, part of the ASGi family of companies. Proceeds will benefit HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.

Houston homebuilder ASGi Homes began construction on a home in partnership with the Greater Houston Builders Association’s Benefit Homes Project. Proceeds from the sale of the home will go toward HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.

In its 43-year history, the GHBA Benefit Homes Project has raised over $13 million via the construction and sale of homes.

“We have, of course, known about the Benefit Homes Project for years and are excited to break ground on our first benefit home and donate to this worthy charity,” said Bill Ellison, founder of ASGi Homes. “The base price of the home is $365,000, but with a few additional features, we are hoping it sells for around $400,000.

ASGi is using its “Olivia” floorplan for the one-story home. Once completed, the house will include three bedrooms, two full baths and a study. The land was developed by Ellison Development, an ASGi company, which donated the lot for the Benefit Homes Project.

The home is the first to break ground in Williams Reserve East, a new development in Conroe. ASGi will serve as the exclusive builder for the development, which is located along FM 1484. Pricing begins at $270,000 for standard homes.
