Downward trend of new listings continues in Houston

New listings are still down from 2022 levels, according to the latest Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS.

Realtors entered 3,103 properties into the Multiple Listing Service during the week ended June 19. That’s 14.6% lower than the amount added during the same week in 2022.

Pending listings are also down by 11.3% year over year, with a total of 2,297 properties going under contract during the week. Off-market listings, meanwhile, are up 18.6%.

Closings are also down by 11.3%, with 1,829 homes sold versus 2,062 during the same week in 2022. Despite this, showings remain ahead of 2022 levels, with traffic at property showings up 16.1% year over year.
