New listings up 17.7% in Houston

Houston’s housing inventory was replenished by a healthy round of new listings during the week ended Oct. 30, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Realtors entered 2,857 new listings into the Multiple Listing Service, a 17.7% increase year over year.

However, both pending and closed listings dropped during the week. Pending listings fell by 4.4% with 1,710 listings going under contract, while closings fell 17.3% with 1,546 homes sold.

Traffic at property showings continued to outpace 2022 volumes, with 6% more showings during the week. Likewise, property views on HAR.com rose 16.3% year over year.
