Johnson Development broke ground on 1,500 acres of land in Fort Bend County for a new master-planned community. The parcel was purchased from The George Foundation last spring.
“This is a momentous occasion as we take the first steps to demonstrate our vision for a master-planned community that honors the legacy of this land,” Derek Goff, vice president and general manager of the community, said in a press release.
The first phase of development includes a mix of 40-, 45-, 50- and 60-foot lots. Model homes are expected to open in 2026, although builders have not yet been announced.
