Houston housing market slows in Week 9

Pending and closed listings dropped while new listings stagnated in Houston during the week ending March 2, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

New listings increased just 0.8% year over year, with 3,836 homes added to the market. Meanwhile, pending listings declined 15.4%, with 1,970 homes going under contract, and closings fell 8.9%, with 1,956 homes sold.

Traffic at property showings increased 11.1% year over year, although open houses were statistically flat.
