New, pending and closed listings all declined annually in Houston during the week ending July 13, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.

Sellers added 4,251 properties to the MLS, down 2.8% from the same week in 2025, when 4,373 homes were added to the market.

Pending home sales dove 12% year over year, with 2,040 listings going under contract, down from 2,318 a year prior. Closed listings declined more modestly, dropping just 0.6% year over year as 1,569 buyers closed on homes.

Traffic at property showings and open houses demonstrated continued consumer interest in the market, though, with showings increasing 3.2% year over year and open houses slightly surpassing year-ago volumes.
