Pending home sales dove 22% year over year in Houston during the week ended Aug. 3, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.
Buyers closed on 1,806 properties, down from 2,316 during the same week in 2025. Closed home sales also declined 4% annually, with 2,218 closings.
Seller activity also decreased during the week as 3,777 homes were added to the MLS, a 5% year-over-year decline.
