Closed home sales were flat year over year in Houston during the week ended Aug. 11, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®.
Buyers purchased 1,517 homes — the exact same amount purchased during the same week in 2025.
Pending sales were below 2025 volumes for the eighth-straight week; however, 1,847 listings went under contract, down 18% from the 2,253 pending listings seen a year prior.
New listings, meanwhile, declined 1% year over year as 3,661 properties were added to the MLS.
