The Dinerstein Companies and Harrison Street won Build-to-Rent Deal of the Year at the IMN Single-Family Rental Industry Awards for Inspire Homes Missouri City: their BTR community about 20 miles from downtown Houston.
Among the top Houston-area award winners was Highland Homes, which won Best Single-Family Detached Home for The Marcello at Fields Brookside in Frisco.
Schroeder was the only Houston agent on the list.
Among the honorees was Shadrick Bogany, a broker associate with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene.
Keep Texas Beautiful honored two Houston-area towns with its 2024 Governor’s Community Achievement Awards for outstanding community improvement.
One of the top-producing Texas agents was Renay Cohen, who ranked as the No. 1 agent in the state by gross commission income (GCI) and sales transactions.
NAHB previously named Bridgeland a Master Planned Community of the Year in 2009.
Both awards were related to Chrysalis Lake, a 65-acre habitat in the community’s Prairieland Village, designed to improve stormwater management and air quality and serve as a safe haven for local pollinators.
Among the award recipients was Mario Arriaga, former chairman of the board for the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR), who was named the 2023 Texas Realtor of the Year.
Among them: Mike Totten of The Mike & Mike Team Real Estate, who was named REALTOR® of the Year, and The Franklin Team at eXp Realty, named Team of the Year.
The Wilcox Group is led by Emily Wilcox, who told Houston Agent that the foundation of her team is a deep passion for real estate and a relentless enthusiasm for helping people find their dream homes.
“Everyone deserves to live in a home that is energy-efficient, resilient, provides the highest level of comfort, and is safe and healthy for occupants,” said Peter Templeton, president and CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council. “Each of this year’s awardees exemplifies these attributes.”
Texas REALTORS® named their 2022 Realtor of the Year this week, selecting Joanne Justice of the Arlington Board of Realtors.
Douglas Elliman’s top agent by gross commission income (GCI), volume and transactions was Renay Cohen, a top-producer in Houston and The Woodlands.

Houston-based real estate company Real Property Management Preferred was named the Franchise of the Year by the real estate home service network Neighborly.
