Real estate is in Christy Buck’s blood. Her grandmother launched her career in the industry years ago, and today this team leader is a third-generation Realtor. Buck went into the medical/dental field once she finished school, and worked there for several years. After having her second child, she decided her true calling was in real estate, and having grown up in the business and learned its intricacies first-hand from her family, there was no doubt that Buck was making the right decision and carrying on the family legacy.

“It was the perfect fit for me”, she explains, adding that she loves the opportunity she has to make a difference in other’s life.

While she spent years learning about real estate from relatives, Buck also received formal training through schooling and work at a leading brokerage, where she further honed her talent. She created her team with the help of her assistant, who has been with her for nearly a decade. In the early years, her team executed about 55 transactions annually, but she quickly realized that they could be helping more families and making an even greater impact in the Houston market. An executive coach guided them in goal-setting and planning, which enabled them to double the number of clients they served each year. That number has since increased four-fold, an achievement Buck credits to the group’s tenacity and dedication. “Hiring the right team members was my biggest ‘aha’ moment.”

An Accredited Buyers Representative, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and Seniors Real Estate Specialist, Buck has held membership in the RE/MAX Diamond Club for the past two years. In addition, the Christy Buck Team currently ranks among the Top 100 RE/MAX teams nationwide, including being among the Top 20 in Texas through the first half of this year. She attributes much of her success to her marketing acumen and egalitarian approach to her clients. “We serve all clients equally and fairly, whether you’re looking for your first rental home or a million-dollar property,” she makes clear. “The biggest complaint we hear from clients who come to us from other agents is that their calls were never returned and they couldn’t see a property as soon as they’d hoped. We never want any of our clients to feel that way, so we always make ourselves available.” In fact, all of Buck’s team members will soon boast their Realtor license so that any one of them can assist clients who contact the office.

“Clients want and expect honesty, and they want to believe that they’re making the best decision they can for their family,” says the mother of two boys. That is why she and her team begin each morning by strategizing a plan of action for how to make the day great for the people they serve. “I’m a very driven individual who truly enjoys helping others, so the combination of the two motivates me to serve my clients with excellence. I love that.”
