Reaching the highest level in her corporate job left Maggie Castillo craving more. Although she enjoyed setting up successful offices in “every corner of Texas,” she longed to become an entrepreneur.
In 2019 she made a list of goals: run the 26. 2-mile Chevron marathon, quit her corporate job, become pregnant and attend real estate school. She accomplished them all and quickly switched careers. Three and a half years ago, she applied the many skills she honed in her leadership roles — setting up systems, establishing procedures, and creating effective plans — to her very own real estate business.
“My biggest influence was my husband Jose, now a licensed real estate agent in Texas and my mother Maggie who enrolled with me in real estate school,” says Castillo, CEO and rainmaker of The Maggie & Maggie Realty Group, Keller Williams Houston Central. “Together we experienced every high and low.”
The team assists buyers, sellers and investors in Greater Houston.
“Once I started my own organization, I taught my team my in-house systems and from there we immediately skyrocketed,” she says. “What I do is beyond just a job, it is indeed my calling. Not only do I get to help families, but I also provide employment to our community.”
A lifelong Houstonian, she helps clients make the best decisions for their families and their futures.
An award-winning Top Producing agent, Castillo has led her team to be named #1 Top Producing Platinum Award winners by Keller Williams. The highest honor within KW, the award is given to recipients who close on 100 -199 units within a single year and earn gross commission income of $500,000 – $999,999.
Finally satisfied with her career, Castillo’s goal now is to mentor other agents, so they can flourish, too.
