Lee Sloan is a Lone Star CRS with The Housesmith Group in Montgomery County.

What was your first job in the realty industry?
I first became a Realtor in the ’80s. ERA First Realty in Conroe was the first company I was associated with as a community servant. I later joined Sue Luce Realty as an associate, serving Montgomery County.

I also served the community in the Montgomery County as well as several positions of service, with what was, Montgomery Co. Board of Realtors. I earned my CRS title in the ’90s, and am a member of Texas Lone Star CRS. The Housesmith Group LLC / Keller Williams Conroe & Lake Conroe has been my broker for over 18 years. I’m very proud to call myself a Realtor; servicing the community around me is a joy.

Where did you grow up?
Acosta County, TX – near Pleasanton.

What is your favorite free-time activity?
Order of The Eastern Star – I’m a member of two chapters: Montgomery and Conroe.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Turn off and turn around.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
A nurse.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be?
Dwight D. Eisenhower, Churchill, Margaret Thatcher and Forbes.

Where is your favorite place to hang out?
Galveston or Livingston, Texas.

What do you love most about the industry?
Serving and the joy of just getting it right.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I don’t; each person is special, and each day is a new learning experience.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Getting it all together; paperwork, about the time you think you have it something else comes along…that’s real estate, and I love it.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
My computer.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
“The Last Lecture.”

What is your favorite restaurant?
Too many to pick one.

What is your favorite building in Houston?
Holland Lodge #1.

What kind of car do you drive?
Chevy SUV.

What is your favorite city after Houston?
Dallas, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Norfolk, and some small towns along the Ohio River.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Hang tough – it’s a lot of work; everything that comes your way is slow but well deserved.

What is your favorite iPhone/Android app?
Mortgage Calculator.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter?
Not just one but all mortgage companies.
