Suzanne McClere is a Realtor for Coldwell Banker United in The Woodlands.

What was your first job in the realty industry?
After graduating from Champions School of Real Estate, last year, I went to work as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker United, Realtors, in The Woodlands. It was the best decision I could have ever made! I am enjoying every minute of helping my clients to sell or purchase their home.

Where did you grow up?
I was born in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Galveston, Texas. It was quite a change, but one I grew to love! I graduated from Ball High School in 1986 and since then have lived all around the Houston area.

What is your favorite free-time activity?
My favorite free time activity is spending time with my husband and daughter. We have a great relationship and really enjoy each other’s company. I especially love going shopping with my daughter and going out to dinner with my husband.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I unwind by going out to one of the many wonderful restaurants in The Woodlands area to enjoy a good meal and a drink!

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I always wanted to be in the real estate business. I was blessed to be able to stay home and raise out daughter. Now that she is grown, I am fulfilling my lifetime desire to be a Realtor.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Ronald Reagan. I was younger when he was our president. Being a teen at that time, I didn’t pay much attention to what was going on in the US or the world. I didn’t fully appreciate what he did for our country until I became an adult.

Where is your favorite place to hang out?
I love the beach! I especially love any of the Caribbean Islands, with the white sand and crystal clear blue water.

What do you love most about the industry?
I love meeting all different types of people, making new friends and helping clients achieve their goals.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I am a very good listener and am very well organized. I love doing research to help clients find what they are searching for in their new home.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
The most difficult aspect is balancing work with family time.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Raising my daughter has been my greatest accomplishment. I am so proud of the young woman she has become.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
“Now You See Me.” It was a very interesting and entertaining movie.

What is your favorite restaurant?
Jasper’s on Market Street in The Woodlands.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
I love all of the historical homes in The Heights. They just “feel” like home.

What kind of car do you drive?
A Volkswagen Jetta TDI. It is a diesel and it gets almost 50 MPG! This is important for a Realtor.

Smartphone or Paper?
Smartphone!

What is your favorite city after Houston?
I love New Orleans.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Have an open mind, be patient, listen and don’t talk too much!

What’s your favorite Real Estate iPhone/ Blackberry app?
The HAR app, by far!
