The Best in Real Estate Tech

by Natalie Terchek

BEST PHOTOGRAPHY APP/SOFTWARE PROGRAM

Winner: Camera+; Runner Ups: KitKam, Photogene

CAMERA+

PROS: Camera+ is an alternative to the standard iPhone camera, offering a lot more capabilities. It allows you to control the exposure and focus the way you want, instead of the way the camera chooses, helps line up your shots to prevent crooked pictures, has a 5x digital zoom and gives you several border designs to choose from. It also allows you to edit your photos once they have been taken.

CONS: At the moment, Camera+ only takes still photographs, not videos, so you would have to make a switch back to the standard phone camera. Also, Camera+ is only available for iOS technology.

PRICE: $1.99

KITCAM

PROS: “Where I’m a staunch advocate that agents should outsource photography to the professionals, sometimes you need to take pictures for reasons other than listing brochures,” Dollinger says. “Enter KitCam, which allows almost everyone to appear as a photo professional.” KitCam, compatible on an iOS system, allows you to mix and match 15 lenses, 20 frames and 32 films to create images and videos. It saves all photos to your camera roll, which makes it convenient if you plan on uploading them to a social media platform or emailing them to a client.

CONS: Reviews have complained about it being difficult to pull pictures from your iPhone camera roll (they hide the menu). Also, remember that KitCam is only available on iOS systems, so it is not for everybody.

PHOTOGENE

PROS: Photogene is a full-featured photo editor that allows you to make adjustments and add special effects to your photos, and allows you to create collages. Mitchell and Nelson say that Photogene has the most options and filters in making manual or automatic adjustments to photos. And reviews say this app loads images much faster than its competitors, making the editing process go smoothly. You can export your images to Instagram, Tumblr, Flickr, Evernote and more.

CONS: This app is not for you if you just want to use it for simple image editing, because it is designed with advanced photo editing capabilities. And like all mobile photo editors, it will drain your battery life. It is also important to note that Photogene is currently only available for iPads.

PRICE: Basic version $2.99; Upgraded version is $10.98

I’m surprised no one mentioned MobilityRE. They are an all in one mobile solution. Go to http://www.MobilityRE.com to check them out. They definitely should be considered one of the premier mobile real estate solutions on the market.

I am using atrick Alexander’s software at $59,95 a month for both FSBO’s and expireds. The show those on the DNC list as well as if its a cell or landline number.

Terrible product….only good thing is there video they make, so you think its good. and-good luck cancelling. I cancelled and for about 1 year they would not stop billing my credit card. Its cheap and you get what you pay for -CHEAP JUNK-they are dishonest about cancelling. Every agent I spoke to -canceled because it was not good, but continued to get billed for way after cancellation. I advise any agent……do not sign up.

My experience with RedX has been great. True, some of the phone numbers are junk, but for the most part, the FSBO’s and expireds are spot on. It gives me a single location to look to grab all of my new leads for the day. Here is my experience with the RedX http://www.mytopproducer.net/the-redx-real-estate-software-review/
