Grew up in Virginia Beach, Va, but I got to Texas as soon as I could.

What is your favorite free-time activity?
Tennis.

Get a massage or watch TV.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
A teacher, and I was for 8 years after graduating college.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Where is your favorite place to hang out?
I enjoy seeing friends at Sweetwater Country Club and going to Sugar Land Town Center for dinner/drinks.

What do you love most about the industry?
I love the possibility to succeed with ole fashion hard work and determination. I have the opportunity to meet lots of people and become very important to them, even if it’s for a short duration. Every day is different and an opportunity!

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I can cater to the first time home buyer and a $1+ million dollar buyer. I have a unique ability to put everyone at ease. I offer a unique marketing plan, use all technology available and I am an excellent negotiator. I grew up with a “wheeler dealer” dad and have fine tuned that skill in a career that allows this skill trait to blossom.

Finding a balance with work and family. This job can consume all aspects of your life.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
I started a Business Networking International (BNI) group in Sugar Land 8 yrs ago and that is a foundation of my referrals. I also attend many ladies functions and I play tennis.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
I am very proud of my recent “Top 25 Realtor in Houston” status by The Houston Business Journal. I have been fortunate to start off well and now obtain most my business by referrals. That is truly the best form of advertising!

My favorite movie is “When Harry met Sally,” but I recently enjoyed “Life of Pi.”

I love Texas Road House. My family gets annoyed that I want to go there every week.

I love the Astro Dome. Don’t tear it down…it was a wonder of the world at one time!

What kind of car do you drive?
A Mercedes, the best office I own.

Smartphone or Paper?
A bit of both. I enjoy my big Samsung Galaxy Note II, but prefer my calendar on paper.

What is your favorite city after Houston?
I still love and visit Virginia Beach, VA every year. It is the largest resort beach in the U.S.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Determination and hard work pay off. Dress like you are attending a closing everyday and follow up is important.

I like Homesnap and I send it to clients to use as well.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter?
My kids, for obvious reasons.
