David Weekley Homes named on BUILDER Magazine’s Top 100 List

On May 9th David Weekley Homes was published in BUILDER Magazine as the largest privately held homebuilder in America. In addition, the company was ranked 18th overall on the magazine’s “2014 BUILDER 100” list, which is comprised of the best builders of 2013 in the U.S. David Weekley Homes had 2,899 closings and $1.12 billion in revenue over the last year.

BUILDER gathered the data for the list from a direct survey of the nation’s leading builders. The list includes both public and private companies and utilizes annual closings, gross revenue and rate of change by year to identify the top builders.

David Weekley Homes was founded in 1976, with headquarters in Houston. Since it’s origin, the company has closed over 75,000 homes and reaches 18 cities across the nation. In addition to its recent recognition by BUILDER, the company was the first in the U.S. to be awarded the “Triple Crown of American Homebuilding,” which incorporates three awards: “America’s Best Builder,” “The National Housing Quality Award” and “National Builder of the Year,” which the company has won twice.
