What was your first job in the realty industry? Worked as a wholesaler while writing a customer/transaction management software program for wholesale investors.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Take a deep breath.

Where did you grow up? The Houston area.

Growing up, what did you want to be? For a time, I wanted to be a translator at the United Nations.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Lunch with Warren Buffett would be very interesting. He is incredibly smart and successful and seems to have an approachable demeanor.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? Anywhere with a great view of the Gulf of Mexico!

What do you love most about the industry? Every day and every client is different. It keeps me fresh and challenged.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? My education, background and a commitment to providing my clients with a quality experience.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Marrying customer expectations with the realities of the market.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? We have frequent local chamber events that I try to attend.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Having had two careers and several successes, I’m hoping my greatest accomplishment is yet to be realized!

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I’ve been catching up with House of Cards, so I haven’t watched many movies lately.

What is your favorite restaurant? The Original Mexican Restaurant in Galveston.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston? Niels Esperson Building on Travis.

Smartphone or paper? Smartphone, definitely. I am a huge proponent of going paperless.

What is your favorite city after Houston? New York City. It’s so alive and energetic, any time of the day or night.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Have a year’s worth of savings in the bank.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? HAR.com

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Local businesses mostly. It’s a great way to keep up with what’s happening on the island.
