Rookie of the Year: Emelie Mavligit

by Rachel Mazanec

Emelie Mavligit brings a native Houstonian’s outlook and understanding of the city and its residents to her career in real estate with John Daugherty, Realtors. A previous 10-year career in public relations, marketing and event planning has honed her communications skills and helped her utilize her expertise in marketing to set herself apart. In addition, Emelie spent several years working in the oil and gas industry, which gave her an excellent grasp of the economic changes in Houston and how that translates to the local housing market.

Emelie is active in the community, having served as a recent sponsor for Pathways for Little Feet, an organization which encourages adoption through education and financial assistance. She is also involved with HOPE (Houston’s Homeless & Orphaned Pets Endeavor), The American Cancer Society and the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.

“I approach real estate as an in-depth, personal relationship between myself and every client. Establishing and maintaining trust through the entire real estate process is crucial, and something I pride myself on. I look forward to forging and fostering lifelong relationships with my clients, now and in the future, because their success is my success.”
