What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I was performance manager of the pre-college division at The Juilliard School. I interacted with the most amazing kids, ages 5-17 scheduling their concerts and individual recitals. I worked with a 5-year-old whose orchestral piece was performed by The Juilliard Orchestra.

Where did you grow up? Freeport, TX.

Growing up, what did you want to be? A singer.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I listen to jazz, watch television or have a great “catch up” phone call with friends.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Eve! I’ve got questions about that fruit she ate and I need answers!

What is Houston’s best-kept secret? Prohibition Theatre

What do you love most about the industry? Meeting and working with a variety of people.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Working with people that don’t communicate. It drives me crazy.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Leads are everywhere. Talk to everyone you encounter and never give up.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to? The show Snowfall on Hulu. 

What’s your favorite meal in Houston? Crab Legs. 

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston? The Williams Tower. 

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? I represented 8 siblings in the sale of their property and had scheduled them to be at the title company together for the closing, but no one told me they didn’t get along. A fistfight broke out at the closing table and police were called. Once they were separated, the title allowed them to complete the closing.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you? I have a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from The Juilliard School.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why? New York City because there is something to do for everyone. The museums, Garment District, The Village, Lincoln Center, shopping, Broadway, restaurants, etc. You name it, New York City has it.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Find a great mentor, create your own path and be consistent.
