Yeimi Antonini Purchasing Agent and Design Coordinator

CitySide Homes

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Wish I could say something actually interesting like “I used to teach lions how to breath fire.” But I used to be an insurance agent.

Where did you grow up?
I was born in Honduras, but Houston is where I’ve called home since I was 5 years old.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I have been fascinated with interiors since I was little. I sat for hours sketching rooms in detail, so it’s no surprise that I am still obsessed with interiors!

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I love to paint, dance, work out, meditate or cry when I get stressed. It really just depends on how fancy the occasion.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Selena Quintanilla. She was so talented I would love to chat with her about her career, music, love and family.

What is Houston’s best kept secret?
The Music and Art Scene

What do you love most about the industry?
I love how home interiors are ever changing both in ways of design, material and installation methods. I love that things will never be boring.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Since the quarantine, there have been lots of product discontinuations and backorders, so it’s important to know how and when to pivot to alternative materials.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Post consistently and network often!

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I am binge watching Next in Fashion and Selling Sunset on Netflix, and I am listening to a lot of meditations in the mornings to get me motivated for the day.

What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
Turkey legs from the Turkey Leg Hut

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
I love The Williams Tower next to the water wall. When it was constructed in 1983, it was the world’s tallest skyscraper outside of a city’s central business district.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
There is this workaholic ghost at the office that we keep hearing “typing on keyboards”. It gets annoying, we wish the ghost would take a vacation or retire already!

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I am only 4’11” tall.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I love going to the beach and snorkeling. Roatan Honduras has the second largest barrier reef and it was amazing to visit and swim there!

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Stay curious, learn often, work with passion.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
@citysidehomes @urbanlivinghtx @joannagaines

What are your social media handles?
