What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Healthcare Professional

Where did you grow up?
Navasota, Texas

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be a singer/songwriter/choreographer.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I like to meditate after a hot bath. Meditation is my way to decompress.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Michelle Obama. I just love the way that she carries herself. She’s an awesome role model to many and she’s not just the First Lady, she’s everything and more! I love her.

What do you love most about the industry?
The new faces that I get to meet. I love providing the knowledge and great service helping my leads and clients have the best experience possible.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Real estate is a tough job across the board, but it’s all about the amount of time and work you put into it. You could be right there and someone decides to pull out at the last minute. It does get tiresome but you have to hang in there.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Don’t be afraid to get out there and meet people. Wear your realtor name tag everywhere you go. Don’t get discouraged. If you talk to 10 or more people a week, that’s a start to building your leads.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
I love to watch Tyler Perry’s Ruthless. When it comes to reading I love anything inspirational or motivational. Musically, I am still stuck in the 90s. I love R&B, smooth jazz and some hip hop.

What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
My favorite meal would have to be the chicken and waffles from Grand Lux.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
The Williams Tower would be my favorite.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Met a couple of clients for a showing and when we got there and opened the door, there were dead cockroaches everywhere! Totally freaked me out but it didn’t seem to bother my clients.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
That I wear many hats. I work in healthcare, I’m an author, I have a podcast, a small apparel business with cosmetics line, and I act a little too.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Turks and Caicos because the people there are so friendly and the food is amazing!

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Choose the right brokerage and find a good mentor.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
I don’t really follow a lot of “favorite” people, but I like anything musical, funny or motivational.
